God of War: Ascension
Hey guys GUESS WHAT! Today I will be updating an upcoming game for you all! This game is one of the best and popular Action-Adventure game called God of War: Ascension. In case you don't know, God of War is an award winning action adventure video game series based on Greek Mythology. Ascension is the seventh installment and a prequel to the entire series. The player controls the franchise's main protagonist from a third person view, Kratos, in a combination of combat, platforming, and puzzle game elements.
Brief introduction of Kratos:
Kratos was initially a servant of the gods for ten years. He served the God of War, Ares, for a short period as Ares saved him and his army from annihilation in battle. However, Ares tricked him into killing his family which caused his transformation into the "Ghost of Sparta". Later on, The god Athena tasked Kratos into locating the Pandora's box to kill Ares. Kratos succeeded and became the new God of War.
The events in Ascension goes all the way back to the period when he was serving Ares. Players will be introduced to a more human side of Kratos as Athena has yet to task him into killing Ares which means he is not a god yet.
The story tells the journey of Kratos redemption from his past sins and the rise of his rage to break free from Ares's bond.
This game is the first in the God of War franchise to have both Single-player and Multiplayer modes. The Single player will follow the original plot of the story whereas the Multiplayer has a small story element to it. However, the player will not take control of Kratos but a normal Warrior. There will be 2 teams of 4 where players will try to take control of a map in order to earn rewards from gods. But first, they must sell their souls to either Zeus, Hades, Ares or Poseidon to obtain the set of equipment and powers inspired by the god of their choice. There are also extras such as customizable avatar warriors and other Multiplayer features that can be unlocked. After the team is able to conquer zones that contain mechanical gears that control the chains binding the one-eyed
giant, and after capturing multiple gears, the gods award the Spartan
soldiers with the Spear of Olympus that will have the power to finish off the titan Polyphemus.
As for the single player, The mechanics and weapon system have been renewed. Kratos is now capable of stealing or picking up weapons and using it against enemies. He is also able to swing enemies up in the air and hit them simultaneously to create a combo. Other features includes the ability to control time(called Life Cycle mechanic) and create shockwaves. Several new enemies are introduced in single player for example the Elephantaur and Charybdis the Sea beast.
